This hadith is about the reliability and acceptance of Sufyan's version of a tradition. It was narrated by Ibn Abi Rizmah who heard his father say that a man asked Shu'bah about Sufyan opposing him in narrating a tradition which differs from his version. Shu'bah replied that it made him think hard and he was told that Yahya b. Ma’in said if anyone opposes Sufyan then the version of Sufyan will be acceptable.
