QUICK LESSONS:
Be precise when measuring things

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the capacity of the sa' belonging to the Prophet ﷺ. A sa’ is an ancient unit of measurement used in Arabia before Islam. It was equal to four amuds which was equivalent to 4.5 kilograms or 9.9 pounds in modern measurements. Umm Habib told Safiyyah's nephew that it was the sa’ belonging to the Prophet ﷺ and Anas ibn Ayyad tested it and found its capacity two and half mudd according to the mudd of Hisham which is equivalent to 4 kilograms or 8.8 pounds in modern measurements. This hadith teaches us that we should be precise when measuring things as even small details can make a difference in our lives, especially when dealing with matters related to religion such as prayer times or fasting hours etc., where precision is key for accuracy in our worship practices .
