Avoiding Oaths

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ advised against taking an oath.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: AbuBakr adjured the Prophet . The Prophet said: Do not adjure an oath.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏:‏ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، أَقْسَمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ‏:‏ ‏ "‏ لاَ تُقْسِمْ
