Be generous with your possessions; Help those who are less fortunate than you; Strive to be fair when dealing with others; Use your possessions for good causes.

The hadith narrated by Asma' daughter of AbuBakr tells us about an incident in which the Prophet Muhammad assigned palm-trees to az-Zubayr as a fief. This shows us that the Prophet was generous and kind, and that he was willing to give away his possessions for the benefit of others. He also showed fairness in his dealings, as he gave away something valuable without expecting anything in return. This teaches us that we should be generous with our possessions and not be selfish with them, but instead use them for good causes and help those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
