Inheritance of Believers

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) is closer to every believer than they are to themselves, and if a believer passes away, their possessions will be inherited by their heirs.

Narrated Jabir b. 'Abd Allah : The Prophet as saying: I am nearer to every believer than himself, and if anyone leaves, it goes to his heirs.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ كَانَ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ أَنَا أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ فَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ دَيْنًا فَإِلَىَّ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالاً فَلِوَرَثَتِهِ

This hadith speaks about the importance of inheritance in Islam. It is narrated by Jabir b. 'Abd Allah that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that he is nearer to every believer than they are to themselves.
