This hadith emphasizes the importance of maintaining one's appearance and hygiene when returning home after a journey. The Prophet Muhammad advised that people should wait until nightfall before entering their homes, so that women who are disheveled or whose husbands have been away can take time to clean themselves up. Al Zuhri clarified that this prohibition applies when one arrives after the night prayer, but Abu Dawud noted that there is no harm in coming back home after sunset prayer.
