Show mercy towards others even if you disagree with them or their beliefs .

This hadith is about the prohibition of killing women and children during war. It was narrated by Al Sab bin Jaththamah who asked the Prophet(ﷺ) about polytheists whose settlement were attacked at night when some of their offspring and women were smitten. The Prophet(ﷺ) replied that they are regarded in the same way as their parents. After this incident, the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) prohibited to kill women and children during war. This hadith teaches us that it is wrong to kill innocent people such as women and children even if they are enemies or polytheists because they have not done anything wrong to deserve death. It also teaches us that we should be merciful towards others even if we do not agree with them or their beliefs because mercy is a sign of true faith according to Islam.
