This hadith is about the importance of showing kindness and respect to young people. It was narrated by Sahl bin Sa'd, who said that once a tumbler full of milk or water was brought to Allah's Messenger, who drank from it while on his right side there was sitting a boy who was the youngest of those present, and on his left side there were old men. The Prophet asked the boy if he would allow him to give the drink to the elder people first. The boy replied that he would not prefer anyone else having his share from him. So, he gave it to the boy instead. This hadith teaches us that we should show kindness and respect towards young people regardless of their age or status in society.
