Circumambulating the Ka’bah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was seen circumambulating the Ka’bah on his Camel, touching the corner (Black Stone) with a crooked stick and kissing it, then going to Al Safa and Al Marwah and running seven times on his Camel.

Abu Al Tufail reported on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas who said I saw the Prophet circumambulating the Ka’bah on his Camel, touching the corner (Black Stone) with a crooked stick and kissing it (the crooked stick). The narrator Muhammad bin Rafi’ added "he then went o Al Safa and Al Marwah and ran seven times on his Camel.

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform acts of worship such as tawaf & sa’y during Hajj pilgrimage or even just visiting Makkah at any other time throughout the year .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Prophet Muhammad's practice of circumambulating around the Ka'bah in Makkah. He would ride his camel around it seven times while touching each corner with a crooked stick, which he would then kiss afterwards. This ritual is known as tawaf in Arabic, which means to go around something in circles or orbits. It is an important part of Hajj pilgrimage for Muslims today as well as an act of worship that can be done at any time throughout the year by those who are able to visit Makkah. The hadith also mentions that Prophet Muhammad went from al-Safa to al-Marwah seven times during this ritual; this part of Hajj is known as sa'y or running between two hills located near Makkah. It symbolizes Hagar's search for water for her son Ishmael when they were stranded in the desert many years ago before Makkah was established as a holy city by Abraham and Ishmael together.

The main values taught through this hadith are faithfulness, devotion, humility, patience and perseverance; all these qualities are necessary when performing acts of worship such as tawaf or sa'y during Hajj pilgrimage or even just visiting Makkah at any other time throughout the year. These values can be applied to our daily lives too; we should strive to remain faithful and devoted towards Allah no matter what challenges we face in life while also being humble enough to accept His will over ours without complaint or hesitation. Patience and perseverance will help us stay focused on our goals despite any obstacles that may come our way along our journey towards achieving them too!
