Seek permission before taking anything from someone else

This hadith speaks about charity and permission. It is narrated by AbuRafi' that the Prophet sent a man of the Banu Makhzum to collect sadaqah, which means charity or alms. He asked AbuRafi' to accompany him so that he could get some of it, but AbuRafi' refused until he went to ask for permission from the Prophet first.
