This hadith explains that when collecting zakat, or charity, it should be done in a fair and equal manner. The Prophet Muhammad commanded that vineyards should be estimated for collecting zakat just like palm trees are estimated. Additionally, the zakat on vineyards should be paid in raisins instead of dried dates like with palm trees.
