Reciting Quran During Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led a group of people in prayer and recited a verse from the Quran.

Narrated Al-Bara' : We went out on a journey along with the Messenger of Allah . He led us in the night prayer and he recited in one of the rak'ahs: "By the fig and the olive".
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فِي سَفَرٍ فَصَلَّى بِنَا الْعِشَاءَ الآخِرَةَ فَقَرَأَ فِي إِحْدَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of reciting verses from the Quran during prayer. It was narrated by Al-Bara', who said that he went on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). During this journey, the Prophet led them in prayer and recited a verse from the Quran, “By the fig and olive”. This hadith shows us how important it is to recite verses from the holy book during our prayers as it brings us closer to Allah. It also teaches us that we should always strive to learn more about our religion so that we can understand what we are saying when we pray. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us of how important it is for us to be mindful of our words when praying as they will be heard by Allah himself.
