Praying at Home

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people to pray in their homes and not turn them into graves.

Ibn 'Umar reported the Messenger of Allah as saying: Offer some of your prayers in your houses, and do not make them graves.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray regularly at home
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us the importance of prayer and how it should be done. He advised us to offer some of our prayers in our own homes, rather than going out to a mosque or other place of worship. This is because he wanted us to remember that our homes are places for living, not for mourning or death. He also wanted us to remember that we should use our time wisely and make sure we are praying regularly, even if it is just in the comfort of our own home. We should also take care not to turn our houses into graves by neglecting prayer altogether.

By following this advice from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), we can ensure that we are fulfilling one of the most important duties as Muslims - prayer - while still taking care of ourselves and those around us.
