Sunan Abi Dawud 935 (Book 2, Hadith 546) #21227
Synchronizing with Angels Through Saying "Amin"

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that when the Imam recites a certain verse from the Quran, one should say "Amin" in order to be forgiven for their past sins.

Abu Hurairah reported the prophet as saying; when the imam recites " not of those with whom thou art angry, nor of those who go astray" (surah al-fatihah,verse 7) say Amin, for if one’s words (utterance of amin) synchronise with those of the angles, he will be forgiven his past sins.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that when we are praying, if the Imam recites a certain verse from the Quran, we should say “Amin”. This is because if our words synchronize with those of the angels, then Allah will forgive us for our past sins. This hadith teaches us that by saying “Amin” during prayer and synchronizing it with what the angels are saying, we can be forgiven for our wrongdoings and start anew. It also encourages us to pay attention during prayer and recite along with what is being said so that we can reap its rewards.
