Sunan Abi Dawud 909 (Book 2, Hadith 520) #21201
The Power of Prayer

SUMMARY: Allah will continue to show favor to a person who is praying as long as they do not look away from their prayer.

Narrated AbuDharr: The Prophet said: Allah, the Most High, continues to turn favourably towards a servant while he is engaged in prayer as long as he does not look to the side (by turning the neck), but if he does so, He turns away from him.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray with focus and devotion

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the power of prayer and how it can bring us closer to Allah. When we pray, we should focus on our prayers and not be distracted by anything else. If we look away from our prayers or become distracted by something else, then Allah will turn away from us. This hadith teaches us that if we want to receive the blessings of Allah then we must remain devoted and focused in our prayers. We should also remember that even if we make mistakes in our prayers or become distracted at times, Allah is still merciful and forgiving so long as we strive to stay focused on Him during our worship.
