Raising Thumbs in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) raised his thumbs in prayer up to the lobes of his ears.

Narrated Wa'il ibn Hujr: I saw the Messenger of Allah raising his thumbs in prayer up to the lobes of his ears.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ فِطْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَرْفَعُ إِبْهَامَيْهِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ إِلَى شَحْمَةِ أُذُنَيْهِ
