EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and it states that the consumption of Nabidh made from Al-Busr is forbidden and not permissible. Nabidh is a type of drink which is prepared by soaking dates, raisins or other fruits in water for a period of time. It can be consumed as an alcoholic beverage if left to ferment for too long, however, this hadith specifically mentions that it should not be made with Al-Busr which refers to a type of date palm tree. Therefore, this hadith teaches us that we should abstain from consuming any kind of alcoholic beverages as they are prohibited in Islam.

This hadith also teaches us the importance of following Islamic teachings and laws even when it comes to seemingly small matters such as what kind of fruit we use to make our drinks with. We must remember that Allah knows best and He has given us these laws for our own benefit so we must strive to follow them at all times.
