Denial of Alcohol in the Hereafter

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) warned that those who consume alcohol without repenting will not be allowed to have it in the Hereafter.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: The Messenger of Allah SAW said: "Whoever drinks Khamr in this world and does not repent from that, will be denied it in the Hereafter".
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُبْ مِنْهَا حُرِمَهَا فِي الآخِرَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us that consuming alcohol is a major sin and those who do not repent from this sin will be denied access to it in the Hereafter. This hadith serves as a reminder for us to stay away from any kind of intoxicants and seek repentance if we have ever consumed them. It also teaches us that our actions in this world will determine our fate in the hereafter and thus we should strive to do good deeds so that we can receive rewards for them on the Day of Judgment. Furthermore, this hadith encourages us to stay away from any kind of intoxicants as they are forbidden by Allah and can lead one astray from His path.
