The Value of Hard Work and Independence

SUMMARY: It is better to work hard and be independent than to rely on others for help.

The Prophet said, "One would rather take a rope and cut wood and carry it than ask others).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ‏ "‏ لأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَحْبُلَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ
