Sunan an-Nasai 5351 (Book 48, Hadith 312) #19883
Refusing to Enter Houses with Images

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) refused to enter a house with images as Angels do not enter such houses.

It was narrated that 'Ali said: "I made some food and invited the Prophet SAW (to come and eat). He came and entered, then he saw a curtain on which there were images, so he went out and said: 'The Angels do not enter a house in which there are images'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect Islamic teachings, avoid idolatry, be mindful of what we put in our homes.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of keeping one's home free from images and idols. It was narrated by 'Ali that he invited the Prophet Muhammad to his home for a meal, but when the Prophet entered, he saw a curtain on which there were images and immediately left without eating. This shows us that it is important for Muslims to keep their homes free from any kind of idolatry or image-worship as angels will not enter such places. We should also be careful about what we put in our homes and make sure that it does not contain anything which goes against Islamic teachings.
