Prohibiting Al-Qaza'

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) forbade the practice of shaving part of the head and leaving part.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that : The Prophet SAW forbade Al-Qaza' (shaving part of the head and leaving part)".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ نَهَى عَنِ الْقَزَعِ

This hadith is about the prohibition of a practice called Al-Qaza'. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, forbade this practice. Al-Qaza' is a type of hairstyle where one shaves part of their head and leaves some hair on another part.
