QUICK LESSONS:
Trim your mustache and let your beard grow
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith of Ibn 'Umar states that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised to trim one's mustache and let their beard grow. This is a practice that has been followed by many Muslims throughout history, as it is seen as a sign of piety and respect for Islamic teachings. It is important to note that this does not mean one should completely shave off their facial hair, but rather just keep it trimmed in order to maintain a neat appearance. Additionally, growing out one's beard can be seen as an outward expression of faith in Islam, as it is often associated with religious devotion. By following this advice from the Prophet ﷺ, Muslims are able to demonstrate their commitment to Islamic values while also maintaining an appropriate level of grooming.
