The Prophet's Advice on Clothing

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad saw a man wearing something and told him to take it off and not put it on again.

It was narrated from Ya'la bin Murrah that: The Messenger of Allah SAW saw a man wearing Khaluq and said: "Go and wash it off, then wash it off, and do not put it on again".
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ‏{‏ أَبَا، ‏}‏ حَفْصِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَبْصَرَ رَجُلاً مُتَخَلِّقًا قَالَ ‏ "‏ اذْهَبْ فَاغْسِلْهُ ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ وَلاَ تَعُدْ

This hadith is about the importance of clothing in Islam.
