EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Hurairah and it states that a woman who did tattoos was brought to Umar and he asked if anyone heard the Prophet Muhammad say anything about tattoos. Abu Hurairah then stood up and said that he heard the Prophet Muhammad say not to do tattoos or have them done. This hadith teaches us that we should not get tattoos as it is prohibited in Islam. It also shows us the importance of listening to what the Prophet Muhammad said as Umar asked if anyone heard him speak on this matter before making a judgement on it. We can learn from this hadith that we should always listen carefully to what our elders tell us and follow their advice as they may have more knowledge than us on certain matters.
