EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of cutting off any of the five fingers on a person's hand, except in certain cases. It was narrated by Sulaiman bin Yasar and Abdullah Ad-Danaj that it is not permissible to cut off any finger from a person's hand, except for five specific cases. These exceptions include when a finger has been damaged due to an injury or illness, when it has been affected by gangrene or leprosy, when it has become deformed due to an accident or birth defect, and when it needs to be amputated for medical reasons. This hadith serves as a reminder that we should take care of our bodies and treat them with respect. We should also be mindful that there are some circumstances where cutting off a finger may be necessary for medical reasons but this should only be done after consulting with experts in the field.
