EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the consequences of stealing. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah said; 'Allah curses the thief who steals an egg and had his hand cut off, and who steals a rope and has his hand cut off'. This means that stealing is a major sin in Islam and it will not go unpunished. If someone commits this crime they will face severe punishment from Allah which could include having their hands cut off as mentioned in this hadith. It is important to remember that stealing is wrong no matter how small or insignificant it may seem because it can have serious consequences both in this life and the hereafter.
