Killing and Slaughtering Animals with Care

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that one should be proficient in all things, and when killing or slaughtering animals, one should do so with care and sharpness to reduce the animal's suffering.

It was narrated that Shadad bin Aws said: "I heard two things from the Messenger of Allah He said 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, ahs decreed proficiency in all things, so when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spear suffering to the animal he slaughter"". (Sahih )

QUICK LESSONS:
Be proficient in all things; kill/slaughter animals carefully with sharpened tools; show compassion towards other creatures on this earth; be mindful of how your actions can affect others; take responsibility for your actions.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that we should strive for proficiency in all things. This includes when we are killing or slaughtering animals. We must take care to sharpen our blades so that the animal experiences less suffering during the process. This is an important lesson for us to remember as it teaches us to be mindful of how our actions can affect others, even if they are not human beings. It also reminds us of our responsibility towards other creatures on this earth, as Allah has given them life just like He has given us life.
