It was narrated from Zaid bin Thabit that: a wolf attacked a sheep so they slaughtered it with a Marwah, and the Prophet allowed it to be eaten.
The Prophet's permission for this act also shows us his mercy towards people who may have been in need of food or sustenance at the time, as well as his wisdom in allowing them to make use of what they had available without compromising their faith or beliefs. Furthermore, this hadith serves as an example of how we should always seek guidance from Allah and His Messenger before making any decisions regarding our lives or our actions.
