Eating Locusts During Campaigns with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Abdullah bin Abu Awfa's experience of eating locusts during the campaigns he went on with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It was narrated that Abuy ya fur said: "I asked 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa about killing locusts and he said: I went on six campaigns with the Messenger of Allah hand we ate locusts".
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ - عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْجَرَادِ، فَقَالَ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ سِتَّ غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Abdullah bin Abu Awfa's experience of eating locusts during the campaigns he went on with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was narrated that Abuy ya fur said that he asked 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa about killing locusts and he said that when they went on six campaigns with the Messenger of Allah, they ate locusts. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for what we have and to not take anything for granted. We should also remember that even though something may seem small or insignificant, it can still be a blessing from Allah.
