Obeying the Prophet in Times of Hardship and Ease

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked his companions to pledge to him that they would obey him in times of hardship and ease.

It was narrated that 'Ubadah bin As-Samit said: "We pledged to the Messenger of Allah to hear and obey, both in times of hardship and ease". And he mentioned similarly.
أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ، قَالَ بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ ‏.‏ وَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of obedience to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, even in times of difficulty or hardship. It was narrated by 'Ubadah bin As Samit that he and his companions pledged to listen and obey the Messenger of Allah, even when it was difficult or easy for them. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to follow what Allah has commanded us through His messenger, no matter how hard it may seem at first. We should remember that Allah will reward us for our obedience if we remain steadfast in our faith and trust Him completely. Furthermore, this hadith also reminds us that we should not be discouraged by hardships but rather use them as an opportunity to grow closer to Allah through prayer and supplication.
