QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your choices when it comes to animals, strive not cause any harm or distress them in your care.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah states that the Prophet Muhammad disliked horses with a certain trait known as 'Shikal'. This is an Arabic term which refers to a horse having white patches on its face and legs. It is believed that this trait was seen as undesirable by the Prophet because it was associated with bad luck and misfortune. The hadith teaches us to be mindful of our choices when it comes to animals, and to be aware of any traits or characteristics which may be seen as negative or unlucky. We should also strive to make sure that we are not causing any harm or distress to animals in our care.
