Celebrate marriages within your means

This hadith is about celebrating marriage in an affordable way. The Prophet Muhammad saw a trace of yellow perfume on 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf and asked him what it was for. He replied that he had married a woman from the Ansar, to which the Prophet advised him to give a wedding feast even if it was with one sheep. This teaches us that marriage should be celebrated regardless of financial status or means; even if you can only afford one sheep as your wedding feast, then do so! It also shows us how important hospitality is in Islam; we should always strive to make our guests feel welcome and appreciated no matter how much or little we have. Furthermore, this hadith emphasizes the importance of simplicity in our lives; instead of spending extravagantly on weddings or other occasions, we should focus more on being content with whatever Allah has given us and celebrating life's milestones within our means.
