Respect individual autonomy; Give equal rights between men & women; Allow people freedom from forceful marriages; Let people decide on matters related with themselves etc..

This hadith is about the rights of women in marriage. It was narrated by 'Aishah that a girl came to her and said that her father married her off against her will. She then asked the Prophet Muhammad if women have any say in the matter of marriage. The Prophet sent word to her father and left it up to the girl whether she wanted to accept or reject the proposal. This hadith teaches us that women have a right over their own bodies and they should not be forced into marriages against their will. They should be given an opportunity to choose who they want as their life partner and no one else should make this decision for them without their consent.
