Get Married if you can afford it; Fast as a restraint for yourself

In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) encourages young men to get married if they can afford it. He explains that marriage is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity than fasting. This means that when one gets married, they are less likely to look at something or someone with lustful intentions or commit any immoral acts due to being in a committed relationship with their spouse. For those who cannot afford marriage, fasting will be a restraint for them; meaning that by abstaining from food and drink during certain times of day or days of the week, one can control their desires better than without fasting. This hadith teaches us about the importance of controlling our desires and urges so we may remain chaste and pure before Allah SWT.
