QUICK LESSONS:
Stone three pillars called jamrats ; Follow Prophet Muhammad's example ; Commemorate Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail for Allah's sake

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a ritual that is performed during Eid al-Adha, which is one of two major Islamic holidays. During this holiday, Muslims commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail for Allah's sake. As part of this ritual, Muslims stone three pillars called jamrats to symbolize their rejection of Satan's temptations. According to this hadith narrated by Jabir, Prophet Muhammad stoned these pillars in the forenoon and after midday when the sun had passed its zenith. This act serves as an example for all Muslims to follow during their own observance of Eid al-Adha. It also serves as a reminder that we should always be willing to reject Satan’s temptations and remain steadfast in our faith even when faced with difficult decisions or situations.
