Supplicating in All Corners of a House

SUMMARY: The Prophet entered a house and supplicated in all its corners, but he did not pray inside until he came out. He then prayed two Rakahs in front of the Kabah.

Make du’as/supplications before starting any task/activity; Pray regularly; Respect places where people worship; Perform prayers at their designated times each day

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of supplication and prayer. It was narrated by Ata that Ibn Abbas said that Uthman bin Zaid told him that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered a house and supplicated in all its corners. However, he did not pray inside until he came out. When he came out, he prayed two Rakahs in front of the Ka’bah. This hadith teaches us to always make du’a or supplication to Allah before we start any task or activity as it is an important part of our faith as Muslims. We should also remember to pray regularly and never forget to perform our prayers at their designated times each day as this is one way for us to stay connected with Allah SWT and seek His guidance throughout our lives. Additionally, this hadith also reminds us how important it is for us to respect places where people worship such as mosques or churches by not engaging in activities like praying inside them unless we are specifically asked by someone who has authority over them such as an Imam or Priest respectively.
