Raising Hands When Seeing The House

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the practice of raising hands when seeing the House, which was not done by Muslims during Hajj with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It was narrated that Al-Muhajir Al-Makki said: "Jabir bin Abdullah was asked whether a man should raise his hands when he sees the House. He said: "I do not think that anyone does that except the Jews. We performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah and we did not do that". (Daif)

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings, pray or supplicate when seeing the house instead of raising your hands like Jews do .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a practice that was not done by Muslims during Hajj with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was narrated that Al-Muhajir Al-Makki said that Jabir bin Abdullah was asked whether a man should raise his hands when he sees the House. He replied saying that he does not think anyone does this except for Jews. This implies that it is not an Islamic practice to raise one's hands when seeing the House, and instead Muslims should perform other acts of worship such as prayer or supplication. The lesson from this hadith is to be mindful of our actions and to ensure they are in accordance with Islamic teachings. We should also be aware of practices from other religions which may differ from ours, and strive to follow only those practices which are prescribed in Islam.
