EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an incident in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recited the Talbiyah and entered into a state of Ihram at the Masjid of Dhul- Hulaifa. The words he said were “Labbaika Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika La sharika laka Labbaik. Innal hamda wan ni'mata laka wal mulk, la sharika lak” which translates to “Here I am O Allah here I am! Here I am You have no partner here i am! Verily all praise and blessings are Yours and all sovereignty You have no partner”. This was done as part of his pilgrimage to Makkah where he would pray two Rak'ahs in Dhul Huleifa before entering into a state of ihraam for Hajj or Umrah. This hadith teaches us that we should always be mindful when performing religious duties such as Hajj or Umrah by being humble before God Almighty with our words and actions. It also teaches us that we should always be grateful for His blessings upon us by praising Him with our words whenever possible.
