This hadith is about the virtue of performing Qiran, which is a type of Hajj. It was narrated by Al-Bara that he was with Ali bin Abi Talib when the Messenger of Allah appointed him as governor of Yemen. When Ali came to the Messenger, he said that he had entered Ihram for what the Prophet had done and that he brought a Hadi and was performing Qiran. The Prophet then said to his companions that if he knew what he knows now, then would have done what they did.
