QUICK LESSONS:
Take care of one's appearance; be mindful; present oneself in a dignified manner; respect religious activities
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known to enter the state of Ihram for Hajj and Umrah. This is a special state in which one must dress and act in a certain way. One of the ways that the Prophet would enter this state was by matting his hair. This shows us that even when performing religious duties, we should still take care of our appearance and not let ourselves become too disheveled or unkempt. It also teaches us to be mindful of our actions and how they reflect on our faith as Muslims. We should strive to always present ourselves in a dignified manner, even when engaging in religious activities such as Hajj or Umrah.
