The Journey of Abu Bakr and Asma to Hajj

SUMMARY: This hadith narrates the story of Abu Bakr and his wife Asma's journey to Hajj, and how they were instructed by the Prophet to perform Ghusl and Talbiyah for Hajj.

It was narrated from Abu Bakr: That he went out for Hajj with the Messenger of Allah on the Farewell Pilgrimage, and his wife Asma' bint 'Umais Al-Khath'amiyyah was with him. When they were at Dhul-Hulaifah, Asma gave birth to Muhammad bin abi Bakr. Abu Bakr. Came to the Prophet and told him, and the Messenger of Allah told him to tell her to perform Ghusl, then begin the Talbiyah for Hajj, and to do everything that the people do, except that she should not circumambulate the House.(sahih)

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates the story of Abu Bakr and his wife Asma's journey to Hajj on the Farewell Pilgrimage with the Messenger of Allah. When they reached Dhul-Hulaifah, Asma gave birth to Muhammad bin abi Bakr. Upon hearing this news, Abu Bakr went to inform the Prophet who then instructed them that she should perform Ghusl before beginning her Talbiyah for Hajj. He also told her that she should do everything that other people do during their pilgrimage except circumambulate around Kaaba as it is not allowed in such a condition. This hadith teaches us about following instructions given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ even in difficult situations like childbirth during a pilgrimage as well as respecting religious rituals while performing them.
