EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of performing ritual ablution, known as ghusl, and supplication, known as talbiyah, after giving birth. It was narrated from Asma bin 'Umais that she gave birth to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq in Al-Baida. When Abu Bakr informed the Messenger of Allah about this event, he instructed her to perform ghusl then begin the talbiyah. Ghusl is a ritual cleansing performed by Muslims before engaging in certain activities such as prayer or pilgrimage. It involves washing one's entire body with water while reciting certain verses from the Quran. The talbiyah is a supplication that Muslims recite during pilgrimage when they enter into a state of consecration known as ihram. This hadith teaches us that it is important for us to take part in religious rituals even during times of joyous occasions such as childbirth so we can remain spiritually connected with God at all times.
