Charity in Family Spending

SUMMARY: Spending on one's family with the intention of seeking reward is an act of charity.

It was narrated from Abu Mas'ud that the Prophet said: "When a man spends on his family, seeking reward for that, that is an act of charity on his part".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا أَنْفَقَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَسِبُهَا كَانَتْ لَهُ صَدَقَةً
