Fasting in the Months of Shaban and Ramadan

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not fast any two consecutive months except Shaban and Ramadan.

It was narrated from Umm Salamah: That the Messenger of Allah would not fast any two consecutive months except Shaban and Ramadan.
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ لاَ يَصُومُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ إِلاَّ شَعْبَانَ وَرَمَضَانَ
