Fasting According to the Moon's Visibility

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad advised to fast when the crescent moon is visible and stop fasting when it is visible again, and if it is too cloudy then complete thirty days.

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah said; 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirty (days)"'.
