The Blessings of Ramadan

SUMMARY: Ramadan is a special month in which the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of the fire are closed and the devils are chained up.

It was narrated form Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah said: " There has come to you Ramadan in which the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of the fire are closed and the devils are chained up". (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: this narration is a mistake.

QUICK LESSONS:
Do good deeds; Abstain from sins; Take advantage of this blessed time; Increase your chances for entering paradise; Reap its rewards in both worlds

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith speaks about the blessings of Ramadan, a holy month in Islam. It is said that during this month, Allah opens up the gates to paradise and closes off those to hellfire. Additionally, it is believed that all devils are chained up during this time so they cannot cause any harm or mischief. This means that Muslims have an opportunity to do good deeds and increase their chances for entering paradise while avoiding bad deeds which can lead them astray from Allah's path. This hadith serves as a reminder for Muslims to take advantage of this blessed time by doing good deeds and abstaining from sins so they can reap its rewards in both worlds.
