Making Up for Missed Nightly Portions of the Quran

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that if one misses their nightly portion of the Quran, they can make up for it by reading it between the Subh and Zuhr prayers.

It was narrated from Abdur-Rahman bin Abdul-Qari that: Umar bin Al-Khattab said: "(The Messenger of Allah said): "Whoever sleeps and misses his nightly portion, and reads it between Subh and Zuhr prayers, it is as if he read it at night'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Read from Qur'an every night; Make up missed portions between Subh & Zuhur prayers; Connect with Allah through prayer; Strive to read from Qur'an daily despite busy lives; Worship Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad taught his followers to read from the Quran every night. If a person was unable to do so, he encouraged them to make up for it by reading between the Subh and Zuhr prayers. This is because these two prayers are very important in Islam and are seen as a way of connecting with Allah. Reading from the Quran during this time is seen as an act of worship that will bring one closer to Allah. It also serves as a reminder that we should strive to read from the Quran every day, no matter how busy our lives may be.
