Praying Standing or Sitting

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to pray both standing and sitting, and would bow in the same position he started in.

It was narrated hat Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah used to pray standing and sitting. If he started to pray standing, he would bow standing and if he started to pray sitting, he would bow sitting".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow instructions from Allah's Messenger Muhammad (ﷺ)
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when we are praying, we can do so either standing or sitting. We should start our prayer in the same position that we intend to finish it in, whether that is standing or sitting. This means that if you start your prayer while standing, you should bow while still standing and if you start your prayer while sitting, you should bow while still seated. This hadith also teaches us about the importance of following instructions from Allah's Messenger Muhammad ﷺ as well as being consistent with our actions during worship.
