The Prophet's Prayer Habits

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to pray for a long time at night and would bow standing or sitting depending on how he started the prayer.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah used to pray for a long time at night. If he started to pray standing, he would bow standing and if he started to pray sitting, he would bow sitting".

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to make your prayers longer and more meaningful.
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Aishah tells us about the prayer habits of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He used to pray for a long time at night and would bow standing or sitting depending on how he started the prayer. This shows us that it is important to be consistent in our prayers and follow through with whatever we start. It also teaches us that we should strive to make our prayers longer as this was something that was practiced by the Prophet himself. We can learn from this hadith that if we want to become closer to Allah, then we should make an effort in increasing our prayers and making them more meaningful.
