Praying in Groups

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ offered the fear prayer with those who were behind him, and then with those who came after them, so that everyone prayed two rak'ahs.

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that: The Prophet offered the fear prayer with those who were behind him, praying two rak'ahs (with them) and two rak'ahs with those who came after them, so the Prophet prayed four rak'ahs and the others each prayed two rak'ahs.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray together as a group

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of praying in groups. He would pray two rak’ahs with those who were behind him and then two more rak’ahs with those who came after them. This means that he prayed four rak’ahs while everyone else only prayed two. By doing this, he was teaching us to be generous and kind to others by not making them do more than we are willing to do ourselves. He was also teaching us the importance of praying together as a group, which is a way for us to come closer together as a community and strengthen our faith in God.
